They are also more likely to do better at school. Dinnertime is a great time to connect with your kids. Celebrate Family Day – A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Children on Tuesday September 29th with a meal at home or at one of the participating restaurants offering family discounts on Tuesday the 29th. He composed a number of pieces for young listeners and performers. The director of the Moscow Children’s Musical Theater asked him to compose something for them to perform and they decided to have a story about a child and a group of animals, in which each animal would be given a theme using a different instrument of the orchestra so that the audience would learn how the instruments look and sound.
Prokofiev wrote the story of Peter and the Wolf, becoming one of his best-loved and most popular orchestra work for children.
Minnesota Orchestra has put together a 52-page curriculum to accompany Peter and the Wolf.
