UMass Summer Theater and Performance Intensive

From July 23-August 5, the UMass Dept. of Theater offers its Summer Theater and Performance Intensive, a 2-week course open to high schoolers with a passion for performance, theater-making, and changing the world through theater. The intensive is designed for all levels of experience, since devised theater allows seasoned actors as well as novices to work at the level that challenges them creatively. They will create a work that reflects their concerns, hopes and ideas about their communities and the world. Students will live in UMass dorms, eat at the dining halls, and participate in optional evening social events and college prep sessions.

Pioneer Valley Ballet

Summer Art in Marion’s Barn
North Hatfield, MA ♦ Summer Art in Marion’s Barn is now in its 28th year of offering a full day of art activities for grades one through eight. Each session focuses on a particular cultural or historical period of the visual arts. iDesign Workshops for Girls

Their goal is to offer a safe, loving educational experience where children are encouraged to find their place on the Mother Earth. The program mixes age and genders; where girls have an equal place of honor and respect. The main focus at camp is on honor, integrity, cooperation and respect; lessons that need reinforcing in the modern day world. Woodland Village is not a “survival camp,” but they do show campers how to survive, while working with old time tools, fire safety, and solar stills.
