Their goal is to offer a safe, loving educational experience where children are encouraged to find their place on the Mother Earth. The program mixes age and genders; where girls have an equal place of honor and respect. The main focus at camp is on honor, integrity, cooperation and respect; lessons that need reinforcing in the modern day world. Woodland Village is not a “survival camp,” but they do show campers how to survive, while working with old time tools, fire safety, and solar stills. The Wolf Clan made Native Bows and arrows, as well as bowls, spoons and cups from the trees that they cut down on camp land last year. For complete info check out their website.
